Daniel Reist was a Research Associate at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) at University of Stuttgart and ITECH M.Sc Program Coordinator from 2015 - 2017. In 2017 he joined the Exterior Car Design group at Mercedes-Benz AG.
He studied architecture at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (X-Lab Hernan Diaz Alonso) and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (master class Wolf Prix & master class Zaha Hadid) where he graduated with distinction from the master class of Zaha Hadid. In 2012 the project “the Peak eye” that Daniel has developed in collaboration with Valcu Horatiu was exhibited at the Storefront Gallery in New York. In 2013 his diploma thesis “Discovery of slowness” was presented at the MARKHI in Moscow and exhibited at the Vienna art fair.
In 2014 he received the "Hans Hollein" scholarship for Architecture.
Since 2014 Daniel Reist was collaborating with Autodesk, Anouk Wipprecht and Red Bull.
