Sujie is a computational designer from South Korea with a background in architecture and art. Her passion lies in exploring creative potential at the intersection of design and emerging technologies.
As a doctoral researcher at the ICD, she is part of the Material Programming Research Group. Her current research focuses on the ArchiBioFoam project, where she collaborates with her team to investigate multifunctional material systems for architectural applications, using bio-based materials and robotic additive manufacturing.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ewha Womans University and a Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she was the recipient of the Peter Rice Prize. Before joining the ICD, she worked at architectural offices in New York, Boston, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Seoul.
