This two-day workshop was conducted by the Plant Biomechanics Group in Freiburg under the supervision of Professor Thomas Speck and Dr. Olga Speck.
The participants were introduced to general concepts in bionic research and their industrial applications. Guided tours through the Botanic Garden and hands-on microscopy sessions served to gain a more in depth understanding of biological construction strategies.
