Oliver Tessmann graduated at the University of Kassel in 2001. He worked as an architect with Coop Himmelb(l)au in Mexico and Austria and Franken Architekten in Germany. In 2002 he established the practice f-u-r together with Mirco Becker. Their work has been exhibited and published in Europe the US, and Asia including Beijing Biennale 2006 and the DRLTEN Exhibition at the Architectural Association London in 2008. He is currently working on his PhD at the University of Kassel and is working with Bollinger + Grohmann. His research is focused on collaborative and integrative design techniques through the use of algorithmic strategies and design tools developed along side. He taught various international workshops at TU Delft, University of Tennessee and the Städelschule in Frankfurt.
