ICD research associate Tobias Schwinn will give a lecture titled “Fabrication Agency: Agent-based Methods for Digital Design and Fabrication in Architecture” at the 13. Rhein-Neckar Modellierungstag “Stadt, Technik, Natur – Am Anfang steht das Modell” at the University of Heidelberg. Organised by the Heidelberg Graduate School of Mathematical and Computational Methods in the Sciences, the InnovationLab GmbH, and BASF SE Ludwigshafen, the theme of the event is the use of computational models to adequately represent complex processes in urban design, digital and physical infrastructure, and intelligent networks. The challenge is to capture their complexity, describe their changing states using simulation and to optimise processes.
The event will take place on June 22, 2017 at the Mathematikon, Berliner Str. 41-49, 69120 Heidelberg.
