Serban Bodea is a Research Associate at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction. He graduated (Dist.) from the Technical University Delft, in 2014, with a thesis in architectural engineering and digital design. The same year, he joined the Hyperbody chair of Prof. Kas Oosterhuis, as a researcher and tutor in robotic fabrication, until 2016.
As practicing architect, Serban collaborated with KCAP Zuerich, IBA Amsterdam and Atelier Pro The Hague on a number of projects, internationally.
His current ICD research focuses on design and automation, specifically, robotic winding of glass and carbon fiber composite structures.
